Privacy policy

Last updated October 8, 2026

This policy explains what Biohazard Cleanup collects when you call the number on this site or browse these pages, who that information goes to, and how to ask for it to be deleted. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.

Who operates this site

This website is operated by Adeel Zaighum, 9323 Rosa Parks Blvd, Detroit, MI 48206. Questions about this policy, or requests relating to your information, go tohelp@biohazardcleanup.org.

What this site is

Biohazard Cleanup is a referral service. We are not a biohazard remediation contractor and we do not perform cleanup work. When you call, your call is routed to an independent, licensed remediation company operating in your area, through a call-tracking network. That company — not us — assesses the property, sets the price and carries out the work. This matters for your privacy because it means your information is passed on: it does not stay with us.

Information collected when you call

Calls placed to the number on this site are handled through a call-tracking platform. When you call, the following is typically recorded:

  • Your phone number, including if it is withheld from display
  • The date, time and duration of the call
  • The page or advertisement the number was shown on
  • Your approximate location, derived from your area code or the address you give
  • Anything you tell the operator, including the property address and what has happened

Calls may be recorded or monitored by the call network or the attending contractor for quality, training and compliance purposes. If you do not wish to be recorded, say so at the start of the call and ask to continue without it.

Information collected when you browse

This site has no contact forms and collects nothing you type. What is collected automatically is limited to standard web and analytics data: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how long you spend on them, and the site or search that sent you here. A call-tracking script may assign your browser session a temporary identifier so that a call can be matched to the page you were reading.

Cookies and similar technology

Cookies and similar browser storage are used for analytics and for matching a phone call to a visit. They are not used to build an advertising profile of you on this site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, but a call may no longer be attributable to the page that prompted it.

Who your information is shared with

  • The remediation contractor your call is routed to, so they can contact you and attend the property.
  • The call-tracking network that connects the call and records its outcome.
  • Google Analytics, which measures how the site is used in aggregated and pseudonymous form. It records pages viewed, time on page, approximate location derived from your IP address, and whether a call button was tapped. It does not receive your name, your phone number, or anything you say on a call.
  • Law enforcement or regulators, where we are legally required to do so.

Your information is not sold to unrelated marketers, and this site does not operate a lead-resale model. It is shared for the purpose of getting you help, and with the parties above only.

Calls you receive back

By calling the number on this site, you are asking to be connected to a contractor, and you consent to that contractor contacting you back about your enquiry by phone or text at the number you called from. That consent is limited to your enquiry. It is not consent to unrelated marketing, and you can withdraw it at any point by telling the contractor to stop contacting you, or by writing tohelp@biohazardcleanup.org.

How long information is kept

Call records and recordings are retained by the call network and the contractor under their own retention schedules, which are typically measured in months rather than years. Website analytics data is retained in aggregate. If you want your call record and any recording deleted, ask us and we will pass the request to the network and the contractor.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information has been collected about you, to request a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and a number of other states have these rights under state law; we apply the same process to everyone who asks, regardless of state.

To exercise any of these, emailhelp@biohazardcleanup.orgwith the phone number you called from and the approximate date of the call, so the record can be located. We do not charge for this and we will not treat you differently for asking.

Children

This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and it will be deleted.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS and collects no payment details, account credentials or documents. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise — but the amount of information this site holds directly is deliberately small.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes to how information is shared will be described here rather than made quietly.
